Dear High Pointe Family

Dear High Pointe Family,
It is with regret and sorrow in my heart, I inform you that I will be leaving High Pointe Baptist Church,
effective December 31, 2009. The 11 years my family has attended this church have made a great impact on
my understanding of Christ and His Church, and His call on my life as His disciple. I have made it my habit to
consider carefully on a regular basis the call He has placed on my life, praying for clarification and then
endeavoring to follow Him. In addition I have sought counsel from a number of godly men who pray for me,
encourage me, and lead me. For years during these times of reflection and prayer, I have felt the Lord’s
message has been “I have a work for you to do at High Pointe, this is where you are to serve.” Over the last
year, the Lord has been prompting me to follow a different route of service. It has become clear that I can
no longer follow the call on my life within this local Body of His Church and remain in obedience to Him.
Please be praying for my family as we make this transition. This moment in time becomes a step of pure
faith. God has not yet revealed exactly where and how our family will be in service in the future. Change is
always difficult, even when following the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
Sincerely yours,
Jeff Jones
